Yeti Nepali Association, UK Hosts a Memorable Teej Celebration 2023
Yeti Nepali Association, UK, with its illustrious history of over 60 years, has once again created a mesmerizing moment to be cherished. The Nepali Teej Celebrations-2023, held on September 3rd at the Harrow Borough Football Club, was a grand success, filled with joy, culture, and empowerment.
The programme, which focused primarily on women empowerment, was a vibrant celebration of Nepali culture and tradition. Nearly 300 attendees joined in the festivities, which included a wide range of activities designed to bring the community together.
A special focus was given to our elderly members, aged 65 and above, who were treated to a complimentary three-course meal. This gesture not only honoured them but also encouraged them to socialise and enjoy the full spectrum of the programme.
The event was packed with exciting sessions, including traditional dance performances, music, DJ sets, singing, and even a lively catwalk. Children were entertained with face painting and other fun activities, ensuring that there was something for everyone.
In recognition of the incredible contributions of women in our community, several women were honoured with gifts, highlighting the association’s commitment to empowering and celebrating the achievements of women.
Yeti Nepali Association, UK is proud to have hosted such a successful event, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of bringing our community together for many more years to come.
